Job summary

Elevate Entertainment Group, Austin-based, seeks a BOH Supervisor to lead kitchen operations and uphold high food safety and quality standards. You will coach staff, ensure proper product rotation, and supervise shift tasks to maintain guest satisfaction.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and the ability to train team members on new menu items; certifications in food safety and alcohol handling are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Minimum 2 years as a shift lead or sous chef preferred.
• Food Safety, State Alcohol and ServSafe Manager certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist KM/GM to provide direction, coaching, and leadership for BOH staff and ensure food safety and quality.
• Ensure freshness and proper rotation of food products; monitor storage and temperatures daily.
• Record temperatures and notify maintenance of issues as needed.
• Communicate changes for products, kitchen systems, and procedures; implement accordingly.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties.

Job Description

The BOH Supervisor assists with leading by direction of the KM and/or the company set standards by providing team members with the communication and tools necessary to create a positive and quality driven environment and guest experience. Provides supervision and direction on shift operations in order to consistently meet or exceed the guest experience in relation to food safety and food quality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist the KM or GM to provide direction, coaching, and leadership for all BOH cast members including food preparation and production, safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the freshness of food products through proper product rotation and quality control.
• Checks food storage and temperatures daily, records the temperatures on the log sheet, and notifies maintenance of any issues.
• Communicates, implements, and follows up on all changes for food products and kitchen systems and procedures/ if applicable.
• Performs daily opening, mid and closing operation duties.
• Attends training for new menu items and training kitchen team members on proper preparation of new menu items.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Education + Experience + Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED certificate required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum of 2 years as a shift lead or sous chef experience preferred
• Food Safety, State Alcohol and ServSafe Manager certification required
• Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak time

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times
