Position Purpose

This role involves preparing and setting up workstations and ingredients to ensure food is prepared according to recipes.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow recipes, control portions, and maintain presentation standards using various kitchen tools and equipment.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of ingredients and dishes per brand standards.
• Operate pasta-making and cooking equipment after appropriate training.
• Set up and break down your station with all necessary ingredients, prep, and utensils.
• Restock items throughout the shift as needed.
• Maintain safe, sanitary food handling practices and inspect food preparation areas.
• Cook, season, and prepare food according to recipes or personal judgment.
• Test foods for doneness using tasting, smelling, or piercing methods.
• Portion, garnish, and serve food to staff or patrons.
• Assist during busy periods or emergencies as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the station and kitchen areas.
• Receive and organize deliveries, ensuring accurate invoicing for cost control.
• Operate heat sources and kitchen equipment safely.
• Maintain professionalism with all staff and report shortages or pest activity to management.
• Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and organizational standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain personal cleanliness.
• Effective communication skills in English for safety and teamwork.
• Basic food handling, preparation, and cleaning skills preferred.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
