The BodyWorks Collision Porter opportunity has a pay scale consisting of the following, Wages included base hourly compensation between $18.00 and $20.00.

Job Description

The Body Shop Porter is responsible for moving service customer vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility and increase customer convenience while maintaining an orderly service parking area, including keeping the shop clean and taking the trash out.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat professional attitude, answers their questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
2. Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment. Records customer’s name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage (walk around).
3. Controls service traffic flow, parking and assists with loaner vehicles as needed. Parks vehicles after they have been written up.
4. Drives safely and reports any lot damage immediately. Zero lot damage is the goal and the expectation.
5. Retrieves customer vehicles at cashier for pick-up; waits at vehicle for customer, thanks customers for their business.
6. Installs disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats and I.D. tags in all the vehicles taken in for service.
7. Delivers the keys and repair order hard copies to the appropriate Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot.
8. Maintains a clean and safe service drive area, free of trash, water, leaves and dirt.
9. Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
10. Makes key tags for vehicles.
11. Maintains a professional appearance.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
13. Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
