Job summary

State Truck Collision is seeking an experienced Truck Body Repair Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on heavy-duty fleet repairs with emphasis on truck-body work and fabrication.

A candidate with energy, reliability, and a broad skill set is preferred for long-term growth. Responsibilities include repairing fleet trailers and straight trucks, welding and bolting parts, and restoring vehicles to their original structural integrity.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Strong measuring and math skills.
• CDL preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of body work experience.
• Proficient with documenting repairs and time management on a PC.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to use ladders, crawl, kneel, and stretch on vehicles.
• Must pass pre-employment and random DOT drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Repair aluminum and fiberglass trailer and straight truck roofing.
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with power and hand tools.
• Bolt or weld replacement parts into position.
• Paint surfaces after body repairs and order parts as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a neat work area.
• Use tools to remove or repair damaged parts and install new ones.
• Perform collision repair on fleet vehicles and trailer bodies as assigned.
• Repair vehicle bodies (front-end components, doors, frames) and fix dents.
• Restore damaged vehicles to original structural integrity and appearance.

State Truck Collision is seeking an Truck Body Repair Technician to join our growing team of exceptional employees. MUST have previous experience with auto body work and repairs. We are looking someone who is energetic and reliable that has a diverse set of skills.

Experience working with commercial vehicles a huge plus, i.e., tractor trailers, box trucks, buses, vans, forklifts. This is NOT a car shop.

Body Trailer Repair Technician

Position requires technician with strong knowledge in truck-body and various mechanical fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair aluminum and fiberglass trailer and straight truck roofing
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
• Bolt or weld replacement parts in position using wrenches or welding equipment
• Paint surfaces after performing body repairs and order replacement parts, panels, and supplies
• Follow established organizational safety procedures and DOT regulations. Maintains a neat work area
• Use hand and power tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld as needed, and properly install new parts
• Perform collision repair and replacement work on all fleet vehicles and trailer bodies as assigned by the Fleet Manager
• Perform repair work on vehicle bodies (replacing front-end components, body components, doors, frame under body components; hammering out dents, buckles, and other defects using blocks and hammers; filing, grinding, and sanding).
• Restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 70lbs
• Strong measuring and math skills
• Must have a valid driver's license: CDL preferred
• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in body work
• Ability to use PC for documenting repairs and time management
• A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma is preferred
• Ability to use ladders, crawl, kneel, stretch when working on vehicles
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT
