Job summary

Y-tec Keylex Toyotetsu Alabama is seeking a Production Supervisor in Body Weld to assist the Group Leader in coordinating department activities and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production on the plant floor.

Responsibilities include training team members, maintaining production records, and reporting equipment issues to maintenance. The role requires flexibility to work across areas to support YKTA goals in a high-noise stamping/welding environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow instructions.
• Experience with Body Weld processes is required.
• Currently employed in Body Weld.
• Good computer skills and ability to use basic software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Group Leader in coordinating department activities to meet production schedules with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Train team members in departmental functions and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Maintain production records and report machine/equipment malfunctions to Maintenance.
• Be flexible to work across areas and shifts to achieve YKTA goals.

Summary/ Objective:Assist Group Leader in coordinating activities of department.Essential Functions (but are not limited to):Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.Communicate Group Leader’s directions to Team Members.Assist in coordinating activities of the team to ensure production schedules are met while emphasizing Safety and Quality.Analyze work problems and recommend solutions to Group Leader.Assist Team Members in resolving problems/concerns that affect their performance (i.e., direct to Group Leader, Human Resources etc.).Train Team Members in departmental functions.Maintain production records, as needed.Report machine and equipment malfunctions to Machine Maintenance team.Perform activities of Team Members as needed.Maintain and complete necessary reporting.Regular attendance is requiredRotating shifts is required.Other Duties:Must be flexible to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish YKTA Goals and objectives.Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:Ability to read and follow instructions.Must have working knowledge of all processes in Body WeldMust be currently working in Body Weld.Personal computer and software skills.Preferred Qualifications:1-3 years of production experiencePrevious supervisory experience is a plus.Environment:Work is conducted in an industrial office/ plant setting.Frequent movement throughout an industrial plant environment being exposed to high noise levels and equipment normally used in stamping / welding/ Ecoat environments.Physical Demands:Prolonged periods of standing on the plant floor.Repetitive reaching, pulling, bending, lifting overhead is possible.Must be able to lift up to 33 pounds at times.EEO Statement:YKTA is an equal opportunity employer.
