Job summary

YKTA in a United States manufacturing plant seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Body Weld department. You will supervise Group Leaders, drive safety, quality, and 5S, and help set goals and manufacturing processes.

You will train staff, coordinate with HR, monitor production schedules, establish department priorities, implement standardized work, review reports, and handle issues to minimize costs and delays. Regular attendance and rotating shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years supervisory experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of self and others by following all policies and wearing PPE.
• Develop and lead Group Leaders in problem solving, goals, and processes.
• Coordinate with HR to maintain policy compliance and training.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery and prioritized operations.
• Create and enforce Body Weld policies to prevent delays and optimize flow.
• Review reports and resolve production and maintenance issues to minimize costs.
