Job summary

Kniesel’s Collision Carmichael is seeking an experienced journeyman Auto Body Technician to join a high-performing collision repair team in Carmichael, CA. You will perform structural and non-structural repairs on a wide range of vehicles, following OEM procedures and Kniesel’s quality standards with emphasis on precision and efficiency.

The role requires 3–5 years of journeyman experience, proficiency with welders, frame machines, and hand tools, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of journeyman body technician experience.
• Proficiency with welders, frame machines, and hand tools.
• I-CAR certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and follow repair plans and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs per OEM procedures and Kniesel’s quality standards.
• Complete disassembly and vehicle assessment to prepare repair plans.
• Communicate with account managers and parts staff to obtain necessary parts.
• Plan work procedures and follow work orders for listed operations; follow QC SOP.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety, and assist teammates as needed.

The right candidate is dependable, productive, team-oriented, and takes ownership of their work from start to finish.What You’ll DoComplete disassembly and vehicle assessment to assist account managers in determining damage and preparing an accurate repair plan.Ability to effectively communicate with Account Managers and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts.Plan work procedures and follow work orders for all listed operations.
