Description

Job Summary: Body Technicians perform collision repair work on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles, focusing on quality, timeliness, and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Disassemble vehicles to identify damaged components
• Plan auto body repair steps according to the repair plan
• Repair or replace damaged body components as needed
• Use grinding, filing, sanding, welding, and cutting tools
• Inspect and test repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete and the vehicle is ready for painting
• Follow all TCC safety standards, guidelines, and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Exceptional auto body repair skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software
• Ability to read service and repair manuals
• Ability to perform repairs efficiently and in a timely manner
• Ability to interpret repair orders
• Must be 18 years or older

Education and Experience

• I-CAR certification preferred
• At least three years of related experience

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work safely in noisy environments with odors
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to inspect vehicles to determine repairs needed
• Good vision for inspecting repair work
• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat during repairs and inspections
• Ability to reach above and below shoulder level
