Job Summary

Body Technicians perform collision repair work on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles, with a focus on quality, timeliness, and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicles to identify damaged components.
• Plan auto body repair steps according to the repair plan.
• Repair or replace damaged body components as needed.
• Perform grinding, filing, sanding, welding, cutting, etc.
• Inspect and test repaired vehicles to ensure all repairs are complete and the vehicle is ready for paint.
• Comply with all safety standards, guidelines, and procedures of Texas Collision Centers.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Exceptional auto body repair skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
• Ability to read service and repair manuals.
• Ability to perform repairs efficiently.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Education and Experience

• I-CAR certification preferred.
• At least three years of related experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work safely in noisy environments with odors.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to inspect vehicles and determine repairs needed.
• Good vision for inspecting work.
• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat during repairs and inspections.
• Ability to reach above and below shoulder level.
