Job description

Our Body Mechanics repair cab and body damage on a Diesel Tractor, including body, cab, cab extenders, bumpers, chrome accessories, and components. Responsibilities include assessing wreck damage and required repairs, estimating repair time, requesting necessary parts, and prioritizing repairs.

Responsibilities

• Assess body and mechanical repairs needed on semi-tractor and determine necessary parts and supplies.
• Perform cab and body repairs, including surface preparation, bondo and fiberglass work, welding, sealing, sanding, priming, painting, and repair or replacement of cab, sleeper, hood, bumpers, steps, and related body parts.
• Document completed repairs on a Work Order.
• Operate Tractor: locate and drive tractor into the shop, then park it on the lot upon repair completion.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, including floors, lot, and common areas; store and clean tools and equipment; remove trash.
