Description

Job Summary: Body Technicians perform collision repair work on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles, focusing on quality, timeliness, and safety.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Disassemble vehicles to identify damaged components
• Plan auto body repair steps according to the repair plan
• Repair or replace damaged body components as needed
• Use grinding, filing, sanding, welding, cutting, etc.
• Inspect and test repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete and vehicles are ready for painting
• Comply with all safety standards, guidelines, and procedures
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Exceptional auto body repair skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with computer diagnostic equipment and software
• Ability to read service and repair manuals
• Ability to perform repairs efficiently
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders
• Must be 18 years or older

Education and Experience

• I-CAR certification preferred
• At least three years of related experience

Physical Requirements

• Work safely in noisy environments with odors
• Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Inspect vehicles to determine repairs needed
• Good vision for inspecting repair work
• Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat during repairs and inspections
• Reach above and below shoulder level as needed
