Job summary

MPW Industrial Services is seeking a dependable Body Technician to keep trucks, trailers, and equipment in safe, presentable condition. You will perform body repairs, painting, and maintenance to support fleet reliability and appearance through quality workmanship and teamwork.

The role reports to the Paint & Body Supervisor and focuses on maintaining and repairing company equipment with a hands-on approach and strong safety discipline.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with industrial/vocational trades coursework.
  • 2–3 years technical school or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • 5–7 years paint and body repair experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform body repairs on trucks, trailers, and equipment.
  • Complete paint preparation, refinishing, and touch-up work.
  • Repair damaged metal and fiberglass components.
  • Perform mechanical maintenance to support equipment reliability.
  • Complete preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Inspect equipment to identify repair needs and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area.
  • Communicate repair progress with the Paint & Body Supervisor.
  • Support fleet readiness by minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Work cooperatively with maintenance team members to meet priorities.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

We're looking for a dependable Body Technician to help keep MPW's trucks, trailers, and equipment operating safely and looking their best. In this hands‑on role, you'll perform body repairs, painting, and maintenance while supporting the reliability and appearance of our fleet through quality workmanship and teamwork. Based on the source job description, the role reports to the Paint & Body Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining and repairing company equipment.

  • Work cooperatively with maintenance team members to meet operational priorities.
  • Perform additional job‑related duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
  • High school diploma with coursework or specialization in industrial or vocational trades.
  • Two to three years of technical school or equivalent on‑the‑job experience preferred.
  • Five to seven years of paint and body repair experience preferred.
  • Experience repairing and refinishing both metal and fiberglass components.
  • Ability to provide and maintain personal hand tools required for the position.
