Job summary

Ohio Truck Sales in Sandusky, OH is seeking a Body Shop Technician to repair damaged body parts and truck bodies according to work orders using hand and power tools. The Body Tech will follow directions provided by the Cosmetic Bay Lead and/or Supervisor.

Responsibilities include cosmetic repairs to OTS standards, reconditioning tasks, buffing, polishing, sanding, and timely re-assembly of trucks. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prior body shop experience, own tools, and be able

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two+ years of body shop experience.
• Experience using a wide variety of tools and equipment to assess and repair trucks.
• Must provide own tools & toolbox.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Repair trucks cosmetically to OTS standards while following the work order written by the Service Writer.
• Follow OTS work instructions during reconditioning process and complete task in OTS SRT’s.
• Buffing, Polishing, Bondo, Sanding, etc.
• Re-assemble truck in a timely manner.
• Keep work area and shop tools clean.
• Clock in and out of ERP system and be on the correct VIN and segment.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Notify Cosmetic Supervisor of any safety issues in department.
• Daily use of PC and business computer applications.
• Performs other job-related duties assigned.

Required Education, Skills & Abilities
