Job summary

Manatt's Inc. is seeking an Autobody/Paint Technician to work independently and as part of a team on repairs for semi tractors, trailers, and other heavy vehicles. Responsibilities include using metal-cutting tools, grinding and preparing vehicles for painting, and fitting replacement parts with welding equipment.

The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license, attention to detail, and preferably prior experience in autobody/paint. We encourage qualified minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Physical ability to enter, exit, and work around large vehicles.
• Prior experience in autobody/paint is preferred.

Job description

Manatt’s Autobody/Paint Technician works independently and as a team doing frame, body & mechanical repairs performed on semi tractors, trailers, box trucks, pickups & many other large heavy vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Tears‑down, repairs and assembles damaged vehicles using metal‑cutting tools/grinders.
• Grinds, sands, masks, and otherwise prepares vehicles for painting.
• Secures and fits replacement parts using welding equipment.
• Identifies and reports any additional maintenance and/or repairs found necessary in conducting assigned tasks.
• Mixes polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas, completing fiberglass repairs, and proper use of other body fillers like Bondo.
• Able to produce and maintain high quality work and standards.
• Follows safety guidelines and wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Keeps work area clean and cleared of any debris and uphold environmental regulations.
• Ability to work independently and multi‑task.
• Strong attention to detail.
