Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and preparing a 100% Repair Plan.
  2. Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
  3. Plan work procedures following work orders for all operations listed.
  4. Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to access damaged areas; store parts properly.
  5. Mend damaged body panels by hammering, filling dents, welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits meet industry standards; remove damaged panels and replace or weld in new parts, then reassemble after painting.
  6. Operate hand and power tools (e.g., welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns).
  7. File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before handing over to the Paint Department.
  8. Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
  10. Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • 2-3 years of collision repair experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Customer-focused with team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions.
  • Successful background check.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Must use hands regularly, talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, and occasionally lift objects up to 20 pounds. Vision abilities include close, peripheral, and focus adjustment. Accommodations available for disabilities.
