Pape’ Kenworth in Federal Way, WA is hiring a Body Shop Technician / Mechanic to perform mechanical and body work on medium and heavy‑duty trucks. You’ll do washes, bodywork, parts replacement, and installs on new trucks in a fully supported shop environment.

The role requires 5+ years of diesel truck repair experience, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Competitive pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical and body repairs on all diesel truck makes/models.
• Self‑motivation and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Driver’s license with good driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of federal/state/local regulations for body shops.
• Axalta certification is a plus; own tools are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and body work on medium and heavy-duty class 6 & 8 trucks, including prep/post repair washes.
• Replace parts, install on new trucks, and other repairs as assigned.
