Pape’ Kenworth in Federal Way, WA is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician/Mechanic to perform mechanical and body work on medium and heavy‑duty trucks. You will team with experienced technicians in a well‑stocked shop, with training and growth opportunities.

• Axalta certification is a plus; owning tools is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and body work on medium and heavy‑duty trucks (class 6 & 8).
• Conduct pre/post repair washes, bodywork, and replacement/installation of parts.
• Work with a team of technicians in a well‑equipped shop to deliver top quality repairs.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Body Shop Technician /Mechanic, you will perform mechanical and body work on medium and heavy-duty class 6 & 8 trucks, including performing pre/post repair washes, bodywork, replacement of parts, installs on new trucks, and other repairs as assigned. Every day, picture yourself working alongside other trained Technicians in a body shop that has all the support and resources you need to perform top-notch work on heavy trucks.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 5 or more years of experience performing mechanical and body repairs on all makes and models of diesel trucks.
• Self-motivation and
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Driver’s license with a good driving record. A CDL is preferred but not required.
• Must understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, and OSHA Right-to-Know.
• Axalta certification is a plus!
• Having your own tools is a plus but not required.

Compensation:

$32-38/hr (Depending on Experience)
