Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Body Shop Technician to repair or replace damaged body parts to pre-accident condition. You will ensure repairs meet factory specifications and perform quality checks before handing off to paint and detail departments.

The role requires 4 years in a body shop, a valid driver license, and adherence to safety and OEM guidelines. A sign-on bonus up to $5,000 is offered and opportunities for growth within a large dealer network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 4 years body shop experience.
• Current and valid driver license with insurability.
• CDL and Medical card preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review repair orders, work orders, and notes to understand repairs needed.
• Complete repairs according to documentation and standards.
• Follow manufacturer and process guidelines for repairs.
• Use frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures.
• Perform initial teardown of vehicles.
• Identify parts for cut-in and edging.
• Follow factory specifications and I-CAR standards.
• Sign off on quality checks before painting department.
• Reassemble painted vehicle and parts.
• Conduct final quality check before detailing.
