Job summary

Colonial Ford Truck Sales, Richmond, VA, is seeking an experienced Automotive Body Shop Technician to join our collision team. You will repair and refinish vehicles to factory standards, align components, and collaborate with insurance adjusters to ensure accurate repairs.

We value attention to detail, reliable work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team. A valid driver’s license is required, and certifications such as I-CAR or OEM are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in automotive body or collision repair.
• I-CAR or OEM certifications. Painting and estimating preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of repair processes, materials, and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret repair orders and technical manuals.
• Attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanship.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural straightening.
• Refinish and prepare surfaces for painting to OEM standards.
• Align and fit vehicle components such as doors, panels, and bumpers.
• Work with insurance adjusters and estimators to ensure repair accuracy.
• Maintain detailed documentation for all repair work performed.
• Ensure all work meets dealership and manufacturer safety and quality standards.
• Operate power tools and welding equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
