Job summary

TNT Services in Groveport, OH is seeking a Body Shop Technician to perform bodywork on various vehicles and equipment, from prep to completion. The role supports full-time and part-time schedules, with typical hours Mon-Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm and flexibility to meet production goals.

Ideal candidates are energetic, dependable, and focused on process improvement, with at least 1 year hands-on collision/body repair experience and the ability to work independently up to Level 2 repairs.

Qualifications

Job description

TNT is currently looking for a Body Shop Technician in our Groveport, OH location. Our continued growth is fueling the search for new team members. Looking for both full-time and part-time candidates. Generally, a full-time schedule consists of Monday-Friday 8:00 am -4:30 pm, (or as needed to meet production goals). Flexible schedule, including weekends available.

TNT’s desire is to hire a level 1, or level 2 Body shop technician that can do bodywork, or can perform bodywork on our customer's units. As a Commercial Vehicle Body Technician, this person will make cosmetic repairs to various vehicles & equipment. This position is responsible to plan and execute repairs jobs relating to a variety of equipment (cars, trucks, buses, etc.) from the prep-work stage to the completed stage.

Other Body Shop Technician Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of surface, and related equipment, including hand and power tools.
• The applicant will need to demonstrate the knowledge & understanding of fiberglass/fabrication, as well as safety precautions
• Will have collision repair capabilities.
• Responsible for the quality of the workmanship.

Body Shop Technician Requirements:

• Understanding and knowledge of preparation of the surface, body filler, fiberglass & collision repair
• Demonstrate good housekeeping habits
• 1+ years’ experience hands-on collision/body repair
• I-Car (a plus, not required)
• Have own basic body technician tools (DA Sander, grinder, basic hand tools, sockets, wrenches, impact gun to name a few)
• Able to perform repairs from start to finish with normal direction (Level 2)
• Work is physical and endurance-based with prolonged and repeated: lifting (up to 50lbs) bending, twisting, standing, climbing, crawling, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and crouching

TNT offers:

Competitive Salary up to $26.00 per hour based on experience as listed depending on the level of experience:

• Level 1 Surface prep, sanding, masking, basic body filler, cleaning, assisting experienced tech, up to up to $20 based on experience
• Level 2 Collision repair + surface prep; independently completes routine body repairs, up to $26 based on experience
