Miles Chevrolet in Decatur, IL is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our premier facility. You will perform collision repairs and refinishing, assess damage, and provide accurate repair estimates in a fast-paced, safety-conscious shop.

Collaborate with service advisors, maintain quality workmanship, and stay current with industry techniques. Excellent pay, benefits, and career growth opportunities available in a top-tier collision repair environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience
• ASE, I-CAR & welding certifications a plus
• Ability to read, analyze & interpret technical procedures
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence & procedure manuals
• Basic mathematical skills & reasoning ability
• Customer service, computer & organizational skills
• Current, valid driver's license & satisfactory MVR

Mansioni

• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical & hydraulic window & seat operating equipment & trim to gain access to vehicle body & fenders
• Remove dents & fill depressions with body filler
• Remove damaged fenders, panels & grills
• Bolt or weld replacement parts in position
• Straighten bent automobile frames
• File, grind & sand repaired surfaces
• Refinish repaired surfaces
• Aim headlights, align wheels & bleed hydraulic brake system
• Paint surfaces after performing body repairs
• Repair or replace defective mechanical parts

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of vehicle structure and damage repair.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new repair technologies.
