Job summary

CIT Trucks, LLC, is seeking a Body Shop Paint Prepper to join our Midwest leader team. You will assemble, disassemble, and prepare trucks for repair and refinishing, mask panels, apply primer, and ensure prep standards are met in a fast-paced shop.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or GED; 1–2 years of experience preferred; a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card are required. We offer comprehensive wage and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembling and disassembling trucks to prepare for repair and refinishing.
• Fill and repair dents or chips in the body panels using body filler.
• File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
• Remove all dust and other particles from prepared panels through cleaning process.
• Inspect panels for adherence to shop standards for preparation.
• Mask and protect panels and trim for paint process.
• Mix primer according to specifications and apply thoroughly.
