Job summary

Nextran Corporation seeks a seasoned Body Shop Manager in Macon, GA to lead the body shop team, manage repair estimates, budgets, and safety policies. You will coordinate with manufacturers, supervise staff, and drive customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, reliability, and expertise in auto body operations, with a focus on process optimization and team development. On-site work with competitive benefits and career growth potential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; College or Technical training preferred.
• 7 years of body shop experience or related field; 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with accident estimating software; AdjustRite preferred.
• Comfortable using email, online platforms and standard office software to complete daily tasks.
• Strong knowledge of financial information as it pertains to dealership operations.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare body shop repair estimates in accordance with industry standards.
• Monitor performance vs budget on a weekly basis.
• Monitor supply inventory and recovery.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
• Inspect and monitor any potential warranty operations.
• Interact with appropriate manufacturer personnel to ensure customer service and proper dealer procedures.
• Recruit, hire, develop and manage body shop department personnel.
• Ensure technicians are certified and training classes are scheduled.
• Address complaints and resolve personnel issues per Nextran policies.
• Interface with customers to provide the best service and resolve disputes.
• Ensure proper procedures are followed and policies meet customer and company needs.
• Monitor daily all open RO status to ensure timely posting and closing of finished orders.
• Monitor and maintain efficiency and productivity goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
