Job summary

P3 USA is seeking a Manufacturing/Body Shop Methods Engineer to support automotive projects from early prep through launch. You will combine Body Shop Methods expertise with dimensional analysis to improve dimensional quality of vehicle structures and fixtures on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders. This role requires travel and work on busy production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline related to manufacturing or quality.
• Experience with Body Shop Methods, dimensional engineering, and metrology in automotive.
• Ability to review CAD data, drawings, tolerances, and geometric specifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate Body Shop Methods activities across pre-series and launch.
• Perform dimensional quality studies to evaluate geometry, fit, and alignment.
• Support fixture commissioning, validation, and equipment optimization.
• Review drawings and measurement data to identify deviations and risks.
• Translate measurement reports into actionable manufacturing recommendations.
• Investigate dimensional concerns and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor improvements through follow-up measurements and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site and in global projects.
• Present findings clearly in technical reviews and project meetings.
