Truck Centers, Inc. in Morton, IL seeks an experienced Body Shop Manager to lead daily operations, mentor a skilled team, and deliver best-in-class customer service at our busy facility.

You will oversee the full repair process, ensure compliance with OEM guidelines, drive efficiency, manage budget and inventory, and partner with Sales, Parts, and Service to ensure seamless repairs and a superior customer experience. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role within a collision repair or body shop setting.
• Strong knowledge of collision repair, truck systems, and dealership operations.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team – Supervise and support technicians, estimators, and administrative staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Oversee all aspects of body shop operations – Manage the full repair process, from initial estimates and insurance approvals to final quality checks and customer delivery, ensuring efficiency and high-quality workmanship.
• Ensure team members receive proper training and development – Implement structured training programs, mentor team members, and provide opportunities for professional growth to ensure industry best practices and evolving technologies are embraced.
• Maintain compliance with company and OEM policies – Enforce manufacturer repair guidelines, warranty processes, and safety standards, ensuring all documentation and procedures are followed accurately.
• Drive operational efficiency and shop performance – Set and monitor key performance metrics, develop strategies for process improvements, and implement corrective actions to maximize productivity, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal departments – Work closely with Sales, Parts, and Service managers to align goals, share information, and ensure smooth interdepartmental coordination for seamless repairs and superior customer service.
• Foster strong customer relationships – Act as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication throughout the repair process, addressing concerns, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Manage shop resources and vendor relations – Research and select vendors for quality parts and materials, negotiate pricing, and oversee inventory management to control costs while maintaining top-tier service.
• Ensure a safe and organized work environment – Maintain a clean, well-equipped, and hazard-free shop area that meets all safety and compliance requirements. Conduct regular spot checks to uphold workplace standards.

What We're Looking For
