Job summary

Don Tester Ford in Norwalk, OH is seeking an experienced Body Shop Estimator/Assistant Estimator to join our collision center. You will greet customers, prepare estimates, and coordinate repairs from estimate to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Body Shop Estimator or Assistant Estimator or Collision Repair Advisor is required.
• Knowledge of collision repair procedures and insurance claims.
• Experience with estimating software.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with the collision repair estimate process.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry estimating software.
• Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims, supplements, and approvals.
• Coordinate repair schedules and monitor vehicle progress throughout the repair process.
• Keep customers informed with timely updates on repair status.
• Order parts and work closely with technicians to ensure timely repairs.
• Assist with vehicle check-in and delivery, reviewing completed repairs with customers.
• Maintain organized repair files and accurate documentation.
• Ensure all repairs meet dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
• Support the Body Shop Manager with daily operations as needed.

Job Description

Don Tester Ford is seeking an experienced Body Shop Assistant / Estimator to join our collision center team. This position is ideal for someone with collision repair experience who enjoys working directly with customers while helping coordinate repairs from estimate to completion.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and knowledgeable in collision estimating, insurance processes, and repair planning. You'll play a key role in ensuring repairs are completed efficiently while providing outstanding customer service throughout the repair process.
