Job summary

MileOne Autogroup’s MileOne Body Shop is seeking an experienced Estimator to assess vehicle damage and estimate labor and parts costs for repairs or replacements. The role focuses on determining repair feasibility and preparing insurance cost estimates.

The ideal candidate will have a related degree, strong communication, and familiarity with CCC Pathways/CCC One, plus proficiency in MS Office and math concepts.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Ability to handle high-volume estimator needs.
• Knowledge of CCC Pathways or CCC One preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• MS Office, internet, and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Review repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman.
• Determine feasibility of repair vs. replacement of parts.
• Prepare insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations.
• Estimate cost of repainting or converting undamaged vehicles.
• Write reports and procedures manuals.
• Present information to groups, managers, clients and the public.

As an Estimator you will examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage. You will be responsible for estimating the cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item.

Estimator Essential Duties:

• Reviewing repair cost estimates with a body shop manager or foreman
• Determining the feasibility of repair versus replacement of parts
• Preparing insurance forms to indicate repair cost estimates and recommendations
• Estimating the cost of repainting, converting to special purposes, or customizing undamaged vehicles
• Writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Presenting information and responding to questions from groups or managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Estimator Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license
• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree, preferred
• Confidence to handle high volume estimator needs under limited availability
• Knowledge in Estimating CCC Pathways / CCC One, preferred
• Excellent communication skills, high level of initiative, and ability to work in a team
• Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency, and general mathematic skills
