The Body Shop Advisor will coordinate repairs, provide estimates, manage invoicing, and work closely with customers and insurance companies to ensure smooth processes and timely service. The position offers growth within a family-owned, community-focused company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Mechanical and refinishing knowledge is helpful.
• Demonstrated skills in computer generated business systems.

Responsibilities

• Process all body shop repair orders by scheduling and assigning work.
• Provide effective communication to customers about job orders and estimates.
• Complete invoicing and collecting procedures timely and accurately.
• Document and diagnose repairs with clear photographs and documentation.
• Coordinate with customers and insurers for authorization and proper documentation.
• Maintain inventory of parts, paint and materials needed for repairs.
• Track repair costs, hours, and materials for profitability.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Opportunity (Job Purpose):

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day (Essential Duties & Responsibilities):

• Process all body shop repair orders by scheduling & assigning work to body shop Associates, demonstrating a commitment to efficient workflow and timely service.


• Provide effective communication to customers regarding their job orders by preparing estimates for repair work and parts; monitor job schedules to ensure timeliness of repairs and job pricing, fulfilling commitments to transparency and customer satisfaction.


• Complete invoicing and collecting procedures in a timely manner, adhering to financial procedures and ensuring accurate record-keeping.


• Document and diagnose necessary repairs by taking photographs, providing clear and visual documentation to support repair assessments.


• Work closely with customers and insurance companies to obtain necessary authorization and documentation relating to repair work, facilitating a smooth and hassle-free experience for customers.


• Maintain inventory of parts, paint and materials necessary for repair functions, ensuring efficient resource management and minimizing waste.


• Accurately track and manage repair costs, labor hours, and materials used to ensure profitability and responsible financial management.


• Collaborate closely with team members and leadership to continuously cultivate positive experiences for our customers.


• Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications & Skills):

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a similar role.


• Mechanical and refinishing knowledge is helpful.


• Must possess demonstrated skills in computer generated business systems.


• Valid driver’s license required; CDL required, or ability to obtain.


• Dependable and reliable attendance required.
