Job summary

Hansel Collision Center in Santa Rosa, CA is hiring a Body Shop Technician to join our onsite collision repair team. You will work with industry-leading equipment to restore vehicles to manufacturer standards and deliver a second-to-none customer experience.

We offer full-time employment, competitive hourly pay of $33.80 to $45.00 plus bonus plans based on experience. Applicants must have auto body or collision repair experience and a valid California driver’s license, with commitment to safety

Qualifications

• Previous auto body repair or collision repair experience.
• Ability to perform repairs to manufacturer and company standards.
• Clean and Valid California driver’s license and ability to pass drug test.

The Body Shop Technician utilizes industry-leading equipment, tools, and repair procedures to efficiently and safely restore customer vehicles to manufacturer and company standards. Working as part of an exceptional collision repair team, the technician provides a second-to-none experience for every customer through quality workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Pay Range:

$33.80-$45.00 hourly plus bonus pay plans are also available, depending on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Examines customer vehicles
• Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Estimates cost of repairs
• Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance
• Documents services performed
• Performs services efficiently and according to dealership guidelines
• Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous auto body repair or collision repair technician experience required
• Strong understanding of vehicle repair procedures and structural repair techniques
• Ability to identify repair needs and execute repairs with a high level of workmanship
• Have the highest level of workmanship
• Must be reliable, punctual, and safety focused
• Pass a drug test
• Pass a background check
• Clean and Valid California driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and sit for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands for handling tools, equipment, and controls
• Ability to enter, exit, and demonstrate vehicles
• Ability to work safety at heights and in varying weather and environmental conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform overhead work on vehicles for extended periods.

Driving Requirements:

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy and insurer requirements
• Ability to safely operate company and customer vehicles.

Pay Defined:

For a Body Shop Technician pay plan the Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $33.80. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met)without any fixed upper limit.
