Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a senior leader for Body Exterior Design and Release within Ford Racing. You will guide a team of engineers to deliver cutting-edge exterior design, manage the full engineering cycle from pre-program through launch, and coordinate with CAE and suppliers to meet performance targets.

You will drive innovations across hood, fenders, grilles and other exterior systems, while ensuring regulatory compliance and schedule adherence in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level technical degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in body exterior design/release engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with body structures and exterior ornamentation, including stamping, panels, grilles.
• Strong knowledge of BIW attributes: Safety, Durability, Corrosion, NVH, BIW requirements.
• Experience across full programs from Pre-Program to Launch, including a major program.

Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor a team of engineers to drive speed and innovation for the new Ford Racing product.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate and develop innovative solutions for Ford Racing.
• Lead the design, development, engineering validation and certification of Body Exterior systems on production vehicles.
• Oversee total Body Exterior integration and program delivery across QCWFT (Quality, Cost, Weight, Function, Timing).
• Manage internal/external resources to deliver programs and ensure regulatory conformance.
