Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Design Release/Hardware Engineer to lead integration of sensing devices into vehicle subsystems, including lighting, and to define ICD strategy and templates. In this role you will own documentation, develop global specifications templates, and apply GD&T and tolerance analysis across full lifecycle stages.

Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally. The position follows a hybrid work policy with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, requiring ability to report

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or Automotive Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Integrate sensing devices into vehicle subsystems including lighting.
• Create and maintain ICD strategy and ICD templates.
• Develop and maintain commodity-specific documentation and Global subsystem templates.
• Generate and maintain technical specifications templates for subsystems/components.
