Job Description

Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced automobile accidents. Determines coverage, liability, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.

** We're hiring a Bodily Injury Adjuster to join our Northeast team! The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of auto liability claims experience, with strong preference given to those who also have experience handling homeowner liability claims. Familiarity with high exposure claims across both auto and property is highly valued. In this role, you'll manage Bodily Injury claims specific to the Northeast region. Key Responsibilities

* Applies advanced understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department

* Handles investigation regarding all aspects of advanced auto claims (coverage, liability and damages) with the exercise discretion and independence within increased level of authority

* For claims involving injuries (if handled), learns how to review, evaluate, and negotiate basic to moderate injury claims

* Recognizes and identifies body parts of a vehicle and understanding other potential property damage

* Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills

* Determines subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle

* Applies increased experience in the Adjuster II level or a rotation into a specialty position (Coverage, Investigation Specialist, Total Loss, Initial Handler, Extended Handler, etc.)

Education

* 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

* 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)

* This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation

National General prides itself on offering our employees a robust Total Rewards package which includes base salary.The base amount offered for the role is:

BI Adjuster Cons I: $47,500-$60,000

BI Adjuster Cons II: $50,400 - $65,000

BI Adjuster Sr Cons I: $62,800- $81,000

BI Adjuster Sr Cons II: $66,800 - $94,903

And may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors.Other financial components may be added as part of the competitive compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
