Job Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- Wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to Flanigan’s sanitation policies
- Clean and sanitize throughout the shift
- Maintain kitchen area cleanliness; sweep, mop, remove debris from floor, etc.
- Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, and beautification tasks
- Prepare and maintain dish machine during opening, business hours, and closing
- Work physically standing/walking 100% of shift
- Reach, bend, and stoop as needed
- Immerse hands in water frequently, using chemical solutions
- Speak, read, and write English
- Lift up to 50 lbs. multiple times per shift, and place heavy loads on high shelves, coolers, and freezers
- Work in damp, high-temperature indoor environments and minimally outdoors
- Handle hot plates, pots, and pans safely
- Use knives and utensils safely
- Support fellow employees as needed
- Complete and pass a food safety certification program in accordance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
Employment Details
- Five-day work week with two consecutive days off
- Paid vacation: one week after one year, two weeks after two years, three weeks after ten years
- Christmas bonus after one year of employment (equivalent to one week’s pay)
