Job summary

REBEL Convenience Stores is looking for a skilled driver to manage the transportation of fuels and lubricants from the Victorville and Coachella Bulk Plants. The role involves loading products based on specific customer orders, ensuring safe delivery, and adhering strictly to company driving policies.

Successful candidates must possess a Class B commercial driving license, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, and maintain a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• 1-year Commercial driving experience, Class B.
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
• Must possess a current Department of Transportation medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily DVIR before loading products.
• Load products based on customer orders.
• Off-load petroleum products using truck pumping systems.
• Fill in delivery tickets and cargo manifests.
• Report spills or violations immediately.

Job description

Drivers are housed out of Victorville and Coachella Bulk Plants. They are responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products (both fuels and lubricants).

DUTIES

The following duties are not intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position specific duties.

• Diligent completion of daily DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) prior to loading any products onto vehicle
• Safe loading of product(s) from Bulk Plant based on customer orders for that day
• Manage the vehicle and movement of products with strict adherence to company driving policy
• Off-load bulk and packaged petroleum products using truck pumping systems
• Fill in delivery tickets, calculating delivered amounts. Fill in cargo manifests, loading forms and other documents as needed
• Take all necessary precautions to prevent product spills or mixing of products (trans-mix)
• Report any spills, trans-mix situations, moving violations or accidents to dispatch as they occur.
• Participate in Driver meetings as required. Offer advice to make improvements in any/all operational areas

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• 1-year Commercial driving experience, Class B
• Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
• Petroleum Tanker experience is not required
• Must have a clean DMV record with no more than two moving violations within the last five years
• Must have no more than one at fault traffic collision within the last 5 years
• Must possess a current Department of Transportation medical certification
• Must be willing to work any shift available including nights, weekends, holidays
