Job summary

CDL with hazmat/tanker and airbrakes endorsements required; flexible hours and travel as needed.

The Bobtail Driver is to deliver gasoline and/or diesel in large quantities while operating a vehicle efficiently and safely while maintaining the company’s standards for excellent customer service.Duties/ResponsibilitiesOperate bobtail tanker in a safe mannerLoad, transport and deliver gasoline to and from specific locations while obeying all federal, state and local laws related to commercial hazmat transportationProvide excellent customer service in a professional and ethical mannerConduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure proper operationMaintain daily driving logs to record miles driven and number of stopsAccurately complete daily delivery paperworkMust abide by all company performance policies including driver safety and delivery accuracyMinimum QualificationsClass A or B commercial license with hazmat, tanker and airbrakes endorsementClean driving recordFlexibility to be a TEAM PLAYER and participate in efforts that are needed to benefit the company and accomplish unscheduled necessary projects and tasksLicense and vehicle to drive to and from workWillingness to work a flexible schedule to best serve the customerAbility to work full shifts including flex weekend schedule if necessaryRequired Skills/AbilitiesSolid judgement along with decision making skillsExceptional time management and organizational skillsStrong customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customersPhysical RequirementsManeuver hoses weighing up to 50 pounds overhead to deliver productRepetitive climbing in and out of vehicle as well as occasional climbing of stairs/laddersRepetitive squatting and bending for removal of drop and vapor lids weighing up to 20 poundsMust be able to travel frequentlyProlonged periods of sitting
