Job summary

Bobcat of Boston is seeking an experienced equipment technician to service Bobcat machinery and attachments at our North Reading location. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and performing preventative maintenance.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule, competitive pay ($26–$38/hour) with excellent health coverage and a strong 401(k) match, plus PTO and holidays. Training through Bobcat University is available to advance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience repairing compact construction equipment or trucks/vehicles.
• Technical training (degree or certificate) preferred but not required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use diagnostic systems.
• Strong work ethic including punctuality and dependability.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical service on Bobcat equipment and attachments.
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical and electronic systems.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine and hydraulic systems.
• Document diagnostic steps and repairs to create a job story.
• Utilize computer diagnostic systems and tools to identify problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed.
• Complete Bobcat University courses to advance knowledge.
• Interact with team to provide the best service.
