Under direct supervision, serves as Assistant Civil Engineer in the In-House Design Unit of the Division of Bridges. Performs civil engineering work of moderate difficulty and responsibility. Assists Engineer-In-Charge in preparing contract plans and engineering sketches using CADD system for various bridge replacement/rehabilitation projects. Participates in the preparation of specifications and cost estimates. Participates in field trips to bridges in design. Performs other related duties.

• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Possession of a Motor Vehicle Driver’s license valid in the State of New York is preferred.
• A successful candidate will likely have recent experience using AutoCAD software.
