Job summary

Regal Marine Industries, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking an Upholstery Prototype Specialist to develop and assemble prototype boat upholstery, translate designs into production-ready parts, and troubleshoot sewing issues.

You will build jigs, mockups, and take direction from the Engineering/Proto Team Leader, maintaining a safe, organized workspace in a non-climate-controlled environment that can reach high temperatures.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Fast-paced team environment under time constraints.
• Accurate reading of tape measures.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in daily hours.
• Ability to take direction from Supervisors and Managers and adapt to change quickly.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in email and Google Sheets.
• Conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build jigs/fixtures, patterns, templates, or other documentation related to upholstery and sewing processes.
• Build prototype upholstery assemblies and mockups based on design and engineering drawings.
• Work collaboratively with the design/documentation team to ensure accurate information transfer.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the upholstery prototype area.
