Job summary

Sea Fox Boat Company, a leader in saltwater fishing boats, is seeking a dedicated Finishing Department team member to prepare boats for final delivery to dealers.

You will patch and sand fiberglass or gel coat, use buffers and power tools, and ensure the highest finish quality. Must stand all day in a covered warehouse, pass a Patch/Refinish test, and hold a High School Diploma or GED. This is a full-time role, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Patching and sanding experience in boat manufacturing or automotive settings.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass Patch/Refinish test.

Responsibilities

• Finish fiberglass/gel coat surfaces with tools to smooth imperfections.
• Maintain high quality finishes and attention to detail.
• Stand and perform tasks in a covered warehouse environment.
• Understand and follow safety data sheets and chemical handling procedures.
• Operate power and hand tools safely and collaborate with the team.

Sea Fox Boat Company is an industry leading, saltwater fishing boat manufacturer who is looking for someone in the Finishing department. Finishers help prepare the boat for final delivery to the dealers.

To Qualify for This Job, the Applicant Must Be Able to Perform the Following

• Previous Patching / Sanding in either Boat Manufacturing or Automotive
• Full Time work load Monday- Friday

Essential Functions

• Finishers must be able to use power tools, hand tools, buffers, sandpaper to smooth out fiberglass or gel coat imperfections
• Must have an eye for detail – to ensure the highest standards
• There will be constant lifting and bending
• Understand all machinery and chemicals used
• Be aware of MSDS sheets and books and read and use this information when necessary
• Must be honest, dependable and forthright, with the ability to confidently work without direct supervision
• Maintain a positive attitude – always be willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed
• Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner
• Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy

Status and Scope

Must be comfortable working in a covered warehouse environment (extreme cold and heat)

Must be comfortable being on their feet all day

Must be comfortable using power tools and hand tools.

Minimum Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED

• Must pass Patch/Refinish test
