Job summary

Sportsman Boats in Summerville, SC is seeking Polish and Inspect Associates to inspect boat surfaces for defects in fiberglass and to polish, sand, re-coat, and re-finish surfaces to perfection.

Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., with overtime based on production needs. You will use hand and power tools, sanders and grinders, trim fiberglass edges, and polish to a high gloss.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic hand tools, meters and gauges, and power equipment such as sanders and grinders.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and good eye sight.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb in/out of boats and stand up to 8 hours.
• Team player with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to meet attendance requirements and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect boat surfaces for defects like air bubbles, cracks, chips and fiberglass thickness.
• Use hand and power tools to repair fiberglass surfaces.
• Trim excess fiberglass from the edge of the hull.
• Polish to perfection using buffers, wax and towels.
• Comply with safety regulations and keep work areas clean.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Sportsman Boats is looking for Polish and Inspect Associates toinspect the surfaces of our boats looking for defects in the fiberglass finish. You willpolish, sand, re-coat, and re-finish the surface to perfection. Our schedule is Monday - Thursday, 5:00 a.m.- 3:45 pm. There are opportunities for overtime based on production needs.

What you will do:

• Inspect boat surfaces for defects such as air bubbles, cuts, cracks, chips, and thickness of fiberglass, etc.
• Usehand and power tools, sanders, and grinders torepair fiberglass surfaces
• Trim excess fiberglass from edge of boat hull
• Polish to perfection using buffers, wax, and towels
• Complywith safety regulations and maintainclean and orderly work areas
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

To be considered you must have:

• Experience and proficiency with basic hand tools , meters, gauges, and power equipment - sanders, buffers, grinders, etc.
