Job summary

TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale in Fort Lauderdale is looking for a deckhand to assist with towing, launch, salvage, and maintenance tasks. This position offers excellent pay and opportunities for promotion; deckhands can advance to become patrol captains. Applicants should reside near Fort Lauderdale and have or aspire to obtain a USCG Captain’s license. Additional qualifications include a current STCW certification, TWIC card, and scuba certification is a plus.

Established Marine Towing and Salvage company is seeking a deckhand to assist with towing, launch, salvage, maintenance and other tasks. We promote from within; deckhands become patrol captains so please do not apply unless this is your ultimate goal. We offer excellent pay and outstanding opportunities to earn, develop and grow.

• Assist with towing, launch, salvage, maintenance and other tasks.

Qualifications

• Live in or near Fort Lauderdale.
• Currently have a USCG Captain’s license or the desire, sea time and other qualifications to become a Captain in the near future.
• Current STCW certification and TWIC card are a plus.

• Good vessel maintenance skills, previous experience at sea, and experience with cranes and heavy loads are preferred.
