iHeartMedia in Hartford, CT seeks a part-time Board Operator to manage live and pre-recorded broadcasts, ensuring audio quality and regulatory compliance. You will operate studio equipment, coordinate with talent and traffic teams, and troubleshoot issues in real time.

You must have solid technical aptitude, attention to detail, and be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Prior experience with NexGen or similar automation systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and FCC compliance.
• Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams for smooth transitions and ad placement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate as needed.
• Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.

What You'll Do

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.

• Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams to ensure smooth transitions and accurate commercial placement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and elevate as needed.
• Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.

What You'll Need

• Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with broadcast equipment and automation systems (e.g., NexGen, Adobe Audition).

• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus.

Compensation

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. $16.94
