Job summary

Wipro in Santa Clara is seeking a Board Level Test Engineer to lead hardware validation efforts on PCs and server platforms. You will design diagnostic tools, automate tests with Python and Shell, and troubleshoot complex hardware issues in Windows and Linux environments.

You will work with CPUs/GPUs, PCIe, Ethernet and other interfaces, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth NPIs and robust production readiness.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 Years experience in hardware test/validation.
  • Strong scripting in Python and Shell.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux OS environments.
  • Experience with CPUs/GPUs and hardware protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform first-level hardware triage and troubleshooting for PCs and server platforms.
  • Design and implement diagnostic tools and scripts for validation and fault isolation.
  • Identify and resolve setup issues and test failures using structured troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain test automation using Shell and Python scripting.
  • Work with motherboards and GPU platforms in lab environments.
  • Work with systems connected by networking protocols (Ethernet, InfiniBand, PCIe).
  • Operate in Windows and Linux operating systems for test and debug tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support diagnostics, validation, and NPIs.
