Job summary

JobAdder Operations Pty in Memphis, TN seeks a Repair Technician (Inspection & Repair Operator) to perform advanced board-level repair on enterprise server hardware. You will work on SMT rework, BGA replacements, and X-ray inspection to ensure product functionality in data center equipment.

The role requires hands-on repair experience, strong power-architecture knowledge, and ability to troubleshoot complex assemblies in a high-value environment with strict quality controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of board-level repair experience on enterprise servers, storage, or networking hardware.
• Hands-on SMT rework and BGA component replacement including large body and fine-pitch devices.
• Strong understanding of power architecture including VRMs, multiphase regulators, and power sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and PCB layout files.
• Experience in high-value component repair environments with strict quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced board-level failure repair on complex PCBA assemblies.
• Repair debugged assemblies containing high-value SMT components including memory and power management devices.
• Execute precision SMT component replacement and rework using industry-standard equipment (rework stations, X-ray inspection, thermal profiling).
• Perform component-level repairs on assemblies with workmanship or technical defects.
• Develop and validate custom repair fixtures and methodologies for complex server boards.
• Document corrective actions and conduct root cause failure analyses.
• Maintain detailed repair logs with failure modes and yield tracking.
• Ensure strict ESD handling procedures for high-value components.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing to improve repair processes.
