Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies in Elgin, IL is seeking an Analyzing Technician I for the 1st shift on a 4-month assignment at our on-site facility. You will analyze failed electronic assemblies, diagnose issues, and determine corrective actions for both mobile and portable 2-way radios.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, documenting findings, and communicating root causes. On-site work is required with weekend support as needed, and steel-toe boots are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment (signal generators, analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters).
• RF knowledge and 1-3 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Experience with 2-way subscriber products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze rejected electronic assemblies using test equipment and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems and define corrective actions.
• Identify vendor vs. process defects and write failure analysis reports.
• Record failure data and communicate diagnoses clearly.
• Work independently and support factory operations on weekends when required.
