PetVet Care Centers seeks a Board Certified or Residency Trained Oncologist to join Memphis Veterinary Specialists in Memphis, TN. The role focuses on delivering exceptional cancer care with a collaborative team of veterinarians and support staff.

The position involves working closely with Hospital and Regional Managers in a leading, referral-focused veterinary center. The ideal candidate has AVMA-recognized residency, clinical excellence, and strong client communication skills.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college/university.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA-approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Collaborate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and hospital operations.
• Attend daily rounds and participate in practice updates and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
