Job summary

PetVet Care Centers in Lexington, KY seeks a Board-Certified or Residency Trained Small Animal Internist to provide high-quality veterinary care. You will join a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff, collaborating with the Hospital Manager and Regional Manager.

The position offers a base salary up to $340,000 with a generous production policy, relocation support for non-local candidates, and a sign-on bonus up to $100,000.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university; internship in small animal medicine, surgery or ER.
• Completed a 3-year AVMA-approved residency program.
• Current State Veterinary License and DEA registration.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills; ability to work in a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and provide education on case management.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substances protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency; collaborate with Hospital Manager on priorities.
• Monitor daily hospital operations from intake to discharge; participate in rounds.
• Engage in practice management updates and staff training.
