Qualifications

• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, ER.
• Strong communication skills with pet owners.
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records.
• Some physical tasks may include lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Educate clients and maintain effective communication.
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Work with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.

Strong diagnostic and clinical skills

Client communication skills

Education

DVM or VMD from an accredited college or university

Current State Veterinary License

DEA registration

Completed a 3-year AVMA approved residency program
