PetVet Care Centers in Crystal Lake, IL seeks a Board-Certified or Residency Trained Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a collaborative team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. The role includes leadership opportunities and engagement with a Specialty Medical Director at this location.

The CASE hospital offers internal medicine, rehabilitation, and 24/7 emergency services with a strong culture of professional growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Veterinarian degree from an accredited college.
• Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the appropriate state.
• Completion of an AVMA-approved residency.
• 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery or ER.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Responsabilités

• Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and educate families.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Coordinate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
