Qualifications

• United States Citizenship is required.
• MD (or equivalent) in allopathic/osteopathic medicine.
• Degree from VA-approved school as of completion year.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in US or DC.
• Residency training approved by VA leading to board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs as a key member of the acute psychiatry services team.
• Conducts psychiatric evaluations and medication management.
• Provides crisis intervention and treatment planning within an interdisciplinary team.
• On-call duties; participates in teaching trainees and supervising staff.
• Ensures compliance with VA policies and regulatory requirements.
